Fryman described the event as “a dream come true”.  She comes from a family of bowlers, having bowled since her early youth.

In 2022, Fryman was the KHSAA Region 8 Girls Singles champion.  In both 2022 and 2023, Fryman finished in the top 25 among Kentucky high school bowlers.

Fryman is one of the top bowlers of the class of 2024 and is expected to make an immediate contribution to the Patriots womens bowling next season.

Thus far this season, Fryman has been averaging approximately 200 in her bowling scores.

“I never saw myself bowling in college,” Fryman said.

She noted that since committing to bowl for Cumberlands, she has gained confidence.

“Being recruited has made me believe in myself,” Fryman said.

“Meredith is such a clutch bowler,” said GRC bowling coach Dodd Dixon.  “She really shines on the tenth frame.”

Fryman is the fifth known graduate of GRC to bowl collegially, joining Brianna Clem, Matt Allen, Matt Hays, and Tiffani (Richards) Hays, who all bowled for Morehead.

She is the daughter of Michael and Penny Fryman and Vivian and Greg Earlywine.
