Nellie Marie Hay Cobb, 88, of Winchester, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loving family members.

Nellie lived in many residences in the Central Kentucky area, throughout her married life with John, her surviving spouse of 71 1/2 years. She was a homemaker rearing five children with loving hands, a loving heart and discipline. She worked at Ben’s Department Store, Macy’s
Department Store, once her youngest was in school. She cherished family time, watching her sons in sports, her daughters in Girl Scouts. She was able to provide a meal for extended families in a quick minute. Nellie was also a Hospice volunteer for many years in Jessamine County.

Nellie was blessed with loving family and friends. She cherished everyone who visited or who she and John visited, near or far. She was a generous and loving Christian who was always helping others. She loved and celebrated every child, every grandchild, every great grandchild,
niece, nephew, etc. She was overjoyed and you could always see her love for everyone. She said she didn’t have favorites but we all secretly know she did. She was blessed with wit and spunk. She would laugh until she cried. She enjoyed many joyous times together with family and friends.
