Gloria Faye Fitzgerald Ecton, 93, Winchester, Kentucky, died May 26, 2024 at the Bluegrass Hospice Care Center. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky on August 19, 1930. She is survived by her son, Mark R. Overstreet (Nancy), her daughter Leigh Overstreet Reddy; her grandchildren, Colin Overstreet (Kimberly), Erin Overstreet (Rae Daniel), Benjamin Overstreet, Megan Driver (Ryan), Ryan Reddy, Matthew Reddy; and great-grandchildren Evan Overstreet, Ford Driver, and Hayes Driver. She was preceded in death by her parents, John F. Fitzgerald and Mary Dotson Fitzgerald, sister, Gladys Fitzgerald Pieratt, nephew Robert N. Hurst, III, and grandson, Kyle Reddy. She also was preceded in death by her former husband, C.R. Overstreet. Mother and homemaker first, she was an avid tripoley player and long-time volunteer at Clark Regional Medical Center. The family thanks all of her caregivers, particularly Suzanne Pica, M.D. and the Bluegrass Hospice Care Center. Special thanks go to the exceptional staff of Rosemary C. Brooks Place where she enjoyed the final five years of her life. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 10, 2024 at First Christian Church, Winchester, Kentucky. Visitation will precede the services beginning at noon. The family suggests contributions to Bluegrass Care Navigators or Rosemary C. Brooks Place.
