WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Fred E. Turner, 65, was charged Thursday with disregarding a stop sign, no or expired registration plate, failure to maintain insurance and driving under the influence.

— Anthony Terrell Whitaker, 54, was charged Thursday with theft by unlawful taking.

Reports

— At 9:43 a.m. Thursday, officers were called to 135 Linden Ave. for a fight in progress.

— At 10:35 a.m. Thursday, officers were called to 22 First St. concerning a stolen van.

— At 12:49 p.m. Thursday, officers took a report concerning a stolen wallet.

— At 7:54 p.m. Thursday, officers took a report concerning a stolen wedding ring.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— On Thursday, emergency personnel responded to 11 general medical calls, one cardiac case, two respiratory cases, two strokes, one seizure, one overdose and one motor vehicle accident.

— At 8:08 a.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at Winchester City Hall, 32 Wall St. It was a false alarm.

— At 3:42 p.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 1221 Bypass Road. It was a false alarm.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 8:30 a.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident on Paris Road.
