Delaney Manning was the star of the night, scoring three of GRC’s goals.

Shelby Vaughn and Allie Bush each scored a goal and had an assist, while Ciana Araya and Leslie Hernandez each scored two goals. Araya had one assist and Hernandez had two.

GRC started the game off strong by going up 4-0 by halftime. The second half was much of the same, scoring five more goals and only giving up a goal late while trying out different players in new positions.

Head coach Matthew Abner liked what he saw, but thinks his team is far from the finished product.

“I was pleased with the effort but we did see many areas we can improve on,” Abner said. “We will enjoy the win and get ready for our next game.”
