CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

— Nelson H. Johnson, 31, of 2601 Clintonville Road, was charged Saturday with speeding, second-degree fleeing or evading police, driving on a suspended operator’s license and was served a warrant.

— Jimmy D. Sparks, 27, of 300 C.G. Stephenson Drive, was charged Monday with second-degree burglary.

Reports

— At 4 a.m. Monday, deputies were called to 767 Dogwood Lane for a person causing a disturbance. When deputies arrived, a man had kicked in the door and entered the residence. Jimmy Sparks was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary.

— AT 7:54 a.m. Monday, deputies were called to 1001 Ford Road after several items were stolen from a construction site during the weekend.

Accidents

— At 7:15 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Interstate 64 near the 96 mile marker in which Amy Hill of 134 Holly Ave. said she had just gotten off the interstate when her vehicle was hit from behind by a white Ford pickup truck. The truck failed to stop and continued west. Hill was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center after complaining of arm pain.

— At 9:48 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Iron Works Road in which Bobbie Smith of 7 Rain Tree lost control of her vehicle and went into a ditch before hitting a fence and a tree. Smith was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— Over the weekend, emergency personnel responded to 39 general medical calls, eight cardiac cases, three respiratory cases, two diabetic cases, one seizure and one overdose.

— At 7:16 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to an accident at the 94-mile marker of Interstate 64 west.

— At 9:48 a.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to a vehicle accident at Ironworks and Stoner Ephesus roads.

— At 12:03 p.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to the odor of gas in a home at 111 Calloway St.

— At 4:59 p.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to a vehicle accident at Redwing and Bypass roads.

— On Monday, EMS personnel responded to eight general medical calls, one cardiac case and two respiratory cases.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 4:10 p.m. Friday, firefighters responded to a carbon monoxide alarm sounding at 1220 Ford Hampton Road.

— At 2:58 a.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to a smell of gas at 3808 Combs Ferry Road.

— At 11:34 a.m. Saturday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Lexington Road.

— At 7:16 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to an injury accident on Interstate 64 near the 98 mile marker.

— At 2:18 a.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to a structure fire at 203 Steve Circle.

— At 3:07 a.m. Sunday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Revilo Road.

— At 4:48 a.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to a structure fire at 606 Colby Road.

— At 9:49 a.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to an injury accident on Ironworks Road.

— At 1:31 p.m. Sunday, firefighters were called to 1260 Ferry Road for a water rescue.

— At 9:23 a.m. Monday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Muddy Creek Road.

— At 8:07 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to an injury accident on the Mountain Parkway near the 3-mile marker.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Lonna Ulvestad, 58, was charged Monday with theft by deception.

Reports

— At 7:50 a.m. Monday, officers were called to 50 Kiwi Drive concerning an infant that was not breathing.

— At 5:29 p.m. Monday, officers were called to Bypass Road and Boone Avenue concerning an assault at Campbell Junior High School. A child was pushed down by another child.
