Extension board having virtual meeting

The Clark County Extension District Board will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 8. This meeting will be conducted via audio conferencing to follow the governor’s recommendations about gatherings. The phone number to join this meeting is 646-876-9923. Enter meeting ID 758 997 887 when prompted.

 

 WMU closed for Good Friday

Winchester Municipal Utilities will be closed on Friday, April 10, in observance of Good Friday. Solid waste services will be collected Wednesday, April 8, for WMU customers who have collection on Friday, April 10. Have curbits and items to be collected to the curb by 7 a.m. Wednesday, April 8. Blood drives schedule for April

As the spread of coronavirus continues throughout Kentucky and the U.S., Kentucky Blood Center is appealing to healthy individuals to donate blood to prevent shortages in the more than 70 Kentucky hospitals it serves. There will be a blood drive from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, at Central Baptist Church, 101 W. Lexington Ave. Blood donors must be at least 17-years-old (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health, show a photo ID and meet additional requirements. Parental permission slip are found at kybloodcenter.org. Donations are by appointment only. To schedule a donation, visit kybloodcenter.org or call 800-775-2522. On the day of donation, donors can complete their health history questions on a tablet, computer or smartphone prior to coming to the blood drive by using QuickPass.
