Harold “Butch” E. Elliott Jr., a corporate manager and loving father, died peacefully at the age of 66 on the evening of April 4th, 2020 at Clark Regional Medical Center.

Butch is survived by his sons, Kevin Lee Elliott (30), and Brian David Elliott (33). He is predeceased by his sister, Kathi Diane Elliott, his father, Harold E. Elliott Sr., and his mother, Lillian H. Elliott.

Butch was born in Winchester on July 17, 1953 to Harold and Lillian Elliott. He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1987 with a degree in Mass Communication, he married Diana Elliott in 1986. On March 2nd, 1987, and March 2nd, 1990 respectively, he and Diana welcomed their sons Brian and Kevin who were the most cherished joys of his life.

He was hired on at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky shortly before its historic production began in 1988, and became a fiercely passionate believer and future consulting expert of “Toyota Way” and “Kaizen” manufacturing processes. His career at Toyota spanned over a decade, and he later relocated to Columbus, Ohio in the early 2000’s after accepting a position at Commercial Vehicle Group, eventually retiring in 2013 as their Senior Corporate Manager for Global Business Development.

Butch was a devoted father and a lifelong lover of American history, cinema, Looney Tunes, rock n’ roll, Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and the Cleveland Browns. A talented vocalist at a young age, he performed as a lead singer for many hometown rock bands throughout his entire life. His career as a dedicated problem-solver in business allowed him to frequently visit Great Britain, Mexico, and the Czech Republic, and spent much of his adult years traveling abroad learning the unique histories of the world. Butch was an avid reader and loved playing board and computer games with his sons and close friends. He always instinctively believed in the good nature and potential of others and will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

Due to the state-wide gathering restrictions set forth by current developments, a private burial service will be held on April 9th at Clarmont Memorial Gardens in Winchester, Kentucky.
