Athens-Boonesboro, Mina Station reopen

Update: Mina Station and Athens-Boonesboro Road have reopened after being closed for nearly a week because of flooding.

According to the District 7 office of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in Frankfort, no state roads were listed as being closed as of 8:30 Sunday night.

On Saturday morning, Mina Station, Ky. 1028, was still closed between mile points 0.0 and 2.0, and Athens-Boonesboro Road, Ky. 418, between mile points 4.0 and 5.0. By Sunday afternoon, there was no longer water on the road near Halls on the River.

One lane of Nest Egg Road, Ky. 646, at mile point 7.44 in Montgomery County near the Clark County line was still closed Sunday because of a slide.

Old Richmond Road in Fayette County between mile points 0.0 and 0.517 near the Madison County line was still closed Sunday morning.

In Madison County, Jacks Creek Road, Ky. 1156, was still closed at mile point 9.262, and River Road, Ky. 2328, was still closed at mile point 1.6.
