Officials finalized plans for the annual joint meeting between the Winchester Board of Commissioners and the Clark County Fiscal Court this week.

The two entities have annually met in joint session to discuss items of mutual interest, including programs where the city and county are partners.

On Tuesday, the joint revenue sharing committee set the meeting at 6 p.m. Aug. 8 at the Clark County Extension Office, 1400 Fortune Drive. This year’s topics will be a presentation about the upcoming revision of the comprehensive plan, which sets guidelines for property use, and Gary Epperson, who fills a number of roles including county solid waste coordinator and emergency management director.

The agenda usually allows time for discussion among the magistrates and commissioners.

Commissioner Rick Beach and Magistrate Pam Blackburn announced the plan to the respective bodies this week. They serve on the committee with Magistrate Joe Graham and Commissioner Shannon Cox.
