More than 100 campers are participating in the Winchester-Clark County Parks and Recreation day camp, according to camp Director Veronica Brown.

The camp, called “Summer Under Construction,” runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and is open to campers entering kindergarten through sixth grade.

Brown said there is no cap on the number of campers, and registration will remain open until camp ends Aug. 4.

Along with daily activities ranging from swimming to free-play stations, Brown said the camp is also a STEAM camp.

“That means every day we focus on topics of science, technology, engineering, art and math,” she said. “As a teacher myself, I know how important it is to keep kids learning throughout the summer.”
