Downtown Winchester will be the epicenter for a full Saturday of activity.

Beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, Shackleford Lodge 66 and Golden Link Temple 123 will have their annual car and truck show on Main Street. This will be the 10th annual show and will include music, games, door prizes and food.

The first 50 registered vehicles will receive a dash plaque and trophies will be given to the top 25 vehicles.

Trophies will also be awarded in a number of categories including best GM vehicle, Ford, Mopar, truck, rat rod, motorcycle, stock motorcycle and specialty bike. There will also be awards given for best club participation and the vehicle and owner who traveled the farthest distance.

The show will end at 2 p.m. Registration at the show is $20. Admission to the show is free.

At the other end of Main Street, the Winchester-Clark County Farmers’ Market will have its vegetable festival. The annual event is timed to catch peak production for local growers.

Engine House Deli + Pub owner Steve Atkins will be featured guest chef from 9:30 to 11 a.m., cooking vegetables and offering samples.

The market will also raffle a basket of vegetables from the participating farmers.

The market is open from 8 a.m. to noon on Depot Street.

In between, there will be a children’s bicycle rodeo hosted by Winchester-Clark County Parks and Recreation at Lykins Park. Designed for ages 3 to 15, participants will compete in a number of events to test their bicycle-riding skills. Those who registered (the deadline was Wednesday), should bring their own bicycle and helmet, though some will be available at the site.

Throughout the morning, there will be games, gifts, T-shirts and ice cream.

If you miss those events, there is a LEGO club meeting at 1 p.m. at the Clark County Public Library, offering the opportunity to build and create from a giant selection of LEGOs.
