Clark County Farm Bureau, Gaines win at conference
Kentucky Farm Bureau, with more than 462,000 member families statewide, is the state’s largest general farm organization. Approximately 2,000 members attended KFB’s 100th annual meeting in Louisville, Dec. 4-7, to recognize this year’s individual and organizational achievements and adopt policy for 2020.

Winner of both the Clark County and District 9 preliminary contests, Gaines was one of 11 acts invited to perform at the state level Variety Showcase. The competition is sponsored annually by KFB to support youth achievement in entertainment.
Gaines, who did a vocal performance of “I’ve Got a Golden Ticket,” was awarded $250 for being named the district winner of the Variety Showcase.
KFB’s District 9 is a regional grouping of Bourbon, Bracken, Clark, Fleming, Harrison, Lewis, Mason, Nicholas, Pendleton and Robertson counties.
Recognized for the achievements of its Young Farm Program this year, Clark County Farm Bureau received the 2019 Gold Star Award of Excellence during Kentucky Farm Bureau’s annual meeting. The award honors a county’s Young Farmer Committee for its active participation in Farm Bureau leadership development programs, state competitions, and educational or promotional initiatives.
Clark County Farm Bureau received the 2019 Gold Star Award of Excellence during Kentucky Farm Bureau’s annual meeting in Louisville. The award honors county Women’s Committees for active participation in leadership development programs, agricultural promotion, educational initiatives and numerous other aspects of support to the local Farm Bureau.
Clark County Farm Bureau was also recognized during the meeting for its outstanding membership and program achievement in 2019.
The award honors county Farm Bureau offices who meet the company’s profitability requirements and whose insurance policy growth meets or exceeds its annual growth goal.
