Abner, Cards get back on track with 4-2 win

The George Rogers Clark High School baseball team rebounded from a loss to 10th Region rival Harrison County last week with a 4-2 win over 40th District foe Bourbon County Monday.

Aaron Abner pitched the Cardinals (6-8) to victory. He surrendered two runs on three hits over seven innings, striking out 12 and walking one.

Braxton Earlywine took the loss for Bourbon County. He lasted four innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out three and walking one.

Chase Scobee led Clark with two hits in three at bats.

Bryce Roy went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Bourbon County in hits. Bourbon County didn’t commit a single error in the field. Cameron Brady had the most chances in the field with eight.
