Carol Ann Muncie Stone, 83

Carol Ann Muncie Stone, 83, “Moe” or “Sister” as family and friends affectionately knew her, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019, peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Irvine, Ky. on 5/9/1935 to Thomas Vaughn and Anna Lou Wallace Muncie. Her parents, a brother Thomas Daniel Muncie, and a sister Betty Jane Rye McGowan, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Doyle Clayton Stone, a son Wallace Clayton Stone (Lisa) and a daughter Ketsy Lee Fields (Rod). She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Tyler Harrison Fields (Lindsey), Whitney Fields and Wallace Clayton Stone II and his fiancee’ Laura Edwards; two great grandchildren Harper Mae and William Harrison Fields; a sister-in-law Patricia Muncie and several nieces and nephews.

Carol Ann was a member of the First Christian Church, Winchester for over 70 years. She and her husband married in the First Christian Church on 2/19/1956. She loved her church and was very active, serving as a Sunday School teacher, deacon, treasurer of the Christian Women’s Fellowship and helping with the Sunday night youth programs. She also worked 35 years as bookkeeper for the family business at Muncie Buick.. She enjoyed reading, golf, her Bridge games and her weekly Wednesday lunch outings with her many friends.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at the First Christian Church with the service immediately following at noon.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Christian Church, 24 E. Hickman St. Winchester, Ky. 40391, Hospice East 407 Shoppers Dr Winchester, KY. or the American Cancer Society. Rolan G Taylor Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
