Liza Holley has been participating in the George Rogers Clark High School “Cheer with the Champs” camp since she was 2-years-old. Now Holley will be taking part in the yearly event one last time as a senior at GRC this weekend.

The event is set for Friday 5:30-8:30 p.m. and 9 a.m.-noon Saturday in the Auxiliary Gym at George Rogers Clark High School. The camp is for children ages 3-13.

The cost is $50 per child and $5 discount is offered for each sibling. Doors will open at 5 p.m. on Friday for registration.

“The boosters use it as a fund-raiser, but it helps us give little girls a chance to learn the fundamentals of cheer and then perform in front of a crowd,” Booster President Ashley Bordas Smith said. “Most of the kids come year after year until they age out.”
