Chili cook-off promotes GoodGiving Challenge
Thirteen Clark County nonprofits partnered with local restaurants to kick off the GoodGiving Challenge with a chili cook-off Thursday night at George Rogers Clark High School.
Visitors could sample chili prepared for each of the nonprofits, vote on their favorite and make a $1 donation to the nonprofit of their choice.
Leeds Center for the Arts, who partnered with Engine House Deli + Pub, was the people’s choice and earned a $100 donation.
The GoodGiving Challenge is an annual online giving campaign that allows nonprofits to garner donations. Local charities can capitalize on the donations with a dollar-for-dollar match up to $10,000 from the Clark County Community Foundation.

Since its inception in 2011, The GoodGiving Challenge has raised more than $5.5 million for Bluegrass nonprofits.
