The Clark County Local Interagency Council is collecting health care and toiletry items for youth who are experiencing homelessness in the Clark County area.

The Totes for Teens event is in honor of Homeless Awareness Day which is May 24.

Donations can be dropped off at the Clark County Bluegrass.org Office, 325 Professional Ave., between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. by May 22.

The council is asking for help in collecting hand sanitizer, feminine hygiene products, travel-size shampoo and conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, deodorant, brushes and combs.

According to the council, the contributions can make a real difference in the lives of Clark County’s youth.
