David Anthony Elam, 59
David Anthony Elam, 59, formerly of Winchester, left his earthly home for Heaven on January 11, 2017 in Campbellsville, KY, where he resided.
He was born September 12, 1957, in Germany to the late Dean Elam and Ann Craycraft Gaines. David was a lifelong member of First Christian Church. He enjoyed and loved his church family. He owned and operated Brassworks Polishing Shop in Winchester for many years before his heart attack. He loved his work and made many friends throughout the years.
He is survived by two sons, David A. Elam Jr., and Chris Elam; brother, Marcus Elam; half-brother, Michael (Triska) Rice; step-mother, Linda Elam; Aunt Susan (Jon) Jasper, Uncle Richard (Kathy) Elam, Aunt Bonnie Townsend, Aunt Mary (Bill) Barker, Aunt Barbie (Jim) Rogers; granddaughter, Katilyn; and several nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by beloved grandmother, Mattie Elam; and step-brother, Steven Richardson.
A celebration of David’s life will be Tuesday, January 17, at 11am at the Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St, with Rev. Jerry Johns presiding. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 9am until the hour of service.
