Two men charged in a Facebook Marketplace deal turned robbery pleaded guilty to the incident,

James Cornelius, 21, and Mudanar Turley, 20, were both arrested for first-degree robbery in January 2018 for taking $600 from a man.

Thursday, both pleaded guilty in Clark Circuit Court to second-degree robbery and agreed to serve a six-year prison sentence, according to court records. Both are scheduled to be sentenced May 2.

According to Winchester Police, the victim believed he was meeting someone to purchase an iPhone X. The meet was scheduled for 9 p.m. near West Lexington Avenue and Breeze Hill Drive. When the others showed up, the suspects pulled a gun and took the person’s money, police said.

When interviewed by police, Turley and Cornelius said a third person was involved, whom they said pulled the gun and threatened the victim, Winchester Police Capt. James Hall said at the time.

Turley and Cornelius were arrested about an hour after the incident.
