Shopping abounds on Saturday
“A reader’s dream come true,” continues today, according to the Clark County Public Library.
The library’s seventh annual Black Friday Book Sale continues today. The sale starts at 10 a.m.
Book lovers can buy as many bags of books as they would like for $3 per bag. The library even supplies all the bags for the sale. According to the library’s newsletter, shoppers can fill as many bags as they please.
Thousands of fiction and nonfiction books of every possible description for every age group will be on sale, according to the newsletter.
Circulation managers Lynn Wills and Caleb Diederich collected and curated the best of the books from the library’s collection as well as from patron donations.
They work at this every month, so by November, they have a tremendous collection of books divided by subjects and separated into books for youth and adults.
This sale takes up both the Rose Mary Codell Brooks Community Room and the Alice P. Tucker Board Room. Youth books will be in the board room. Books for adults will be in the community room.
The crowd for the book sale began gathering in the lobby as soon as the library opened Black Friday.
This sale is open to the public.
For more information about the sale, call the library at 859-744-5661 and ask for Lynn Wills or Caleb Diederich.
