Question of the Day for Oct. 22, 2019
What local nonprofits are you proud to support?
— Michael Lane Rogers: “Calvary Christian Church. Churches do so much for our community. I cannot imagine what Clark County would look like without them. Churches rescued around 1,000 kids by beginning the Upward40391 program.”
— Mary Elizabeth Jones-Shepherd: “Lady Veterans Connect. Because I’m a veteran myself and I love what wonderful things these women are doing for our community and for homeless women veterans.”
— Wendy Smith Sorrell: “Achieving Recovery Together is a non profit here in Winchester helping those with substance use disorders. #WeDoRecover”
— Sally Holting Spencer: “Clark County Animal Shelter. They take such good care of the animals and do everything they can to get them adopted.”
— Karen Liggett Dunaway: “The churches. They do more than what people give them credit for.”
— Kim Rheinsmith: “The Clark County Homeless Coalition! This organization provides much needed services to the homeless community. They assist in providing housing, case management and much needed support. And the same said for the Beacon of Hope.”
— Teresa Mynear Hardy: “I support and volunteer at Clark county community services. We provide Winchester Clark county with food in a monthly basis. We offer food to the homeless. We assist with utilities if you follow the necessary steps. We give clothing vouchers. There are also many different sales at the closet for anyone to be able to afford items. There are too many reasons to list them all.”
— Pamela Winebrenner: “Fop shop with cop Christmas.”
