Steve W. Williams, 49
Steve W Williams, 49, waged an unrelenting battle against esophageal cancer, willing to do whatever it took for one more month, one more day, one more moment with his adoring family.
And while cancer may have taken his body, it cannot steal his legacy. No, that will live on forever in the heart of his soul mate, Sheila W Williams as she walks in the power and strength that he helped her realize in herself.
It will live on in each of his six sons, Zane, Jake, John, Sam, CJ and Ben, as they exemplify his strong work ethic; his perseverance; his integrity and strength. They each take with them his example of patience, generosity and devotion to family.
His younger brother, Danny, exhibits characteristics of his big brother when he takes others under his wing just as Steve did with him throughout their childhoods and beyond.
Steve was born on October 10, 1970 in Mt. Sterling, KY to Nathan and Charlotte (Ham) Williams.
His early years in Owingsville were spent tagging along behind his paternal grandparents Jay and Loretta Williams; and toddling under the feet of his maternal grandparents Clyde and Nancye (Curtis) Ham of Carlisle.
His family moved to Winchester, KY where Steve graduated from George Rogers Clark High School with the Class of 1988. He then went on to study at EKU and UK.
When he could no longer deny his natural talents, he found himself on the path that eventually lead him to Systems Administrator Consultant with NTT Data, where he worked until the time of his passing.
Steve’s Memorial Service will begin at 2PM on Sunday, March 1st, followed by a Celebration of Life at 4PM at Stith Funeral Homes 7500 US Highway 42 Florence, KY 41042 (859)525-1100.
