A woman charged with moving evidence related to a double homicide was sentenced to probation.

Julia Richardson, 26, had previously pleaded guilty to tampering with physical evidence and a two-year sentence. Thursday, the judge probated the prison time for three years, along with a one-year sentence from a separate possession of a controlled substance case.

The double homicide happened at Washington Street Apartments Nov, 7, 2017. Police said Richardson removed a backpack containing a box of ammunition from the scene.

As part of her probation, she was ordered not to have any contact with her co-defendants in the case.

Trials are still pending against the four people charged with shooting during the incident: Matthew Carmen, Denzel Hill, Ronnie Ellis and Darian Skinner.

A fifth person, Mikaela Buford, has pleaded guilty to two counts of facilitation to commit murder and one count of complicity to first-degree wanton endangerment. Buford said she drove Hill, Skinner and Ellis to the apartment complex, but did not witness the shooting.

Witnesses said Hill, Ellis and Skinner got out of the vehicle, pulled firearms and started shooting. Carmen returned fire from an apartment.

The two victims, Kayla Holland and Adrianna Castro, were caught in the crossfire and died from gunshot wounds.
