Vernon Morris Shelton, 85

Vernon Morris Shelton, 85, husband of Deanna Johnson Shelton, passed away on Tuesday, March 07, 2017, at Clark Regional Medical Center.

He was born on May 12, 1931, to Vernon Shelton and Ida Watts Wilhoit. He was a retired director of customer service for the United States Postal Service in Lexington. Mr. Shelton was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Shriners Club and a Mason. He was a Veteran of the United States Marines.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Thomas Shelton; two step children, Randy Shelton and Pam Wenger; one granddaughter, Makayla Shelton; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be at 11:30AM Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Scobee Funeral Home by Pastor Pat Finley. Burial will follow in Johnson Family Cemetery, Berea, KY.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00PM Friday, March 10, 2017, at the funeral home.
