Wildcat Willy’s open for business

Wildcat Willy’s Distillery officially opened Friday, making it a Christmas gift to all of Winchester.

Wildcat Willy’s, 31 E. Broadway St., is also a farm-to-table restaurant and bar. Its restaurant features locally-grown and sourced ingredients, fresh and simple food and true farm-to-table Kentucky dishes, according to the website.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. It is closed Monday and Tuesday.

The menu includes soups, salads, sandwiches, sweet potato fries, roasted vegetables and seasonally-rooting entrées. The building, which is nearly 170 years old, also features an open kitchen.

The bar was built by Wildcat Willy himself. It features local oak and walnut wood, and is stocked with Wildcat Willy’s moonshine. Mt. Folly Farm grew the corn and sweet potatoes Wildcat Willy’s ferments and distills into its signature craft moonshine, according to its website.

There is also a gift shop featured Homestead Alternatives CBD products, Laura’s Hemp Chocolates and more. According to the website, the gift shop is bodega style and its product and offerings will change with the seasons.
