According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, tree operations for Clark County previously slate for Tuesday have been rescheduled due to inclement weather.
The project, which will occur along 351 Boone Avenue/KY 627 and involves the removal of three very large trees, will now take place from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19th, and Wednesday, July 20th.
The work involved is considered to be “necessary for the traveling public’s safety. Trees can impair sight distance, as well as create hazards with loose limbs and blowing debris. Tree trimming and removal work is performed for areas that are under the jurisdiction of Kentucky Right of Way (KRS 178.025).”
A portion of the roadway will be closed between milepoints 7.222 and 7.404 during scheduled operations, with motorists needing to utilize alternate routes.
The alternate routes are Veterans Memorial Bypass/KY 1958 and Colby Road/KY 1927.
