Woman arrested for assault, terroristic threatening at local homeless shelter

A woman was arrested at a local homeless shelter last week and faces terroristic threatening and assault charges.
According to court records, 53-year-old Susan Schlykov faces two counts of third-degree assault, a count of third-degree criminal trespassing, a count of third-degree terroristic threatening and a count of second-degree disorderly conduct.
She was arrested at The Beacon of Hope Emergency Shelter – located at 850 Bypass Rd, last Tuesday morning. According to court records, Schlykov allegedly assaulted two staff members after they told her to leave.
Law enforcement arrived on the scene around 6 a.m. and found Schlykov found inside a restroom at the facility “screaming and irate,” according to court records.
After allegedly ignoring requests from police officers to calm down, Schlykov was told she would be under arrest for trespassing and refused to place her hands behind her back despite being ordered to by police and continued resisting arrests despite officers’ attempts to subdue her, according to court records.
and charged with counts of 2nd-degree disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, 3rd-degree assault on a police officer or probation officer, 3rd-degree assault on an inmate or correctional employee, 3rd-degree criminal trespassing, and 3rd-degree terroristic threatening.
As she was led out of the building, Schlykov tried pulling away and tried to return to the shelter building. According to court records, she allegedly kicked the side windows and doors of the patrol vehicle once inside.
Schlykov did not calm down when she arrived for processing at the Clark County Detention Center.
According to court records, when law enforcement and jail employees were escorting the Schlykov to the intake area of the detention center, she allegedly began resisting again and kicked a police officer in the left upper leg. Schlykov also allegedly kicked a female jail employee in the lower right leg and spat in her face before stating that she would have the officers killed for arresting her.
Schlykov is currently lodged at the detention center without bond and was arraigned Monday afternoon.
