Clark County DYW up for Hometown Favorite at state competition

Last year, Claire Martin gained recognition when she was named Clark County Distinguished Young Woman (DYW), won the honors statewide and represented Kentucky in the national competition.

Current GRC senior Madelyn Goeing will represent the county in competition for this year’s Kentucky 2024 Distinguished Young Woman contest.

Through Saturday, January 13th, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., the community can pitch in to provide a unique opportunity.

As a part of the Hometown Favorite Vote, DYW candidates – including Goeing – can win a new $250 cash award.

Each vote costs $1, and up to 100 votes can be provided per participant.

Votes can also choose multiple participants in the same transaction.

As Clark County’s candidate, Goeing is among the top five vote leaders as of Jan. 11th.

The winner of the Hometown Favorite Vote will be announced at the Finals Showcase on Saturday, Jan. 13th, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
