Neal, Abner lead Cardinals past Bearcats

The George Rogers Clark  High School baseball grabbed an early lead on its way to a 4-2 victory over Anderson County on Wednesday.

The Cardinals scored on a single by Aaron Abner, a single by Caden Easterling and a fielder’s choice by Joe Austin in the first inning.

Ethan Neal earned the win for Clark. He lasted seven innings, allowing seven hits and two runs while striking out two and walking none.

Spencer Davis took the loss for the Bearcats. He allowed five hits and four runs over two innings, striking out three and walking zero.

Abner went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Clark in hitting.

Anderson County tallied seven hits. Cameron Harrod and Grayson Shouse each collected multiple hits for Anderson County.
