Betheal Abshear, 89

Betheal Abshear, 89, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017.

She was born in Heidelberg, Kentucky, to the late Elizabeth and Harris Abshear. She lived all her adult life in Winchester, Kentucky where she was an employee of South Central Bell Telephone Company for 35 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Blue Grass Rebecca Lodge No. 114, the Pioneer Club, a Kentucky Colonel, and worked with special needs children. She was a member of the First Church of God.

She is survived by one nephew, Paul Wills; three great nieces, LeAnn Wills, Paula Wilmoth (Jesse), and Monica Redmon, all of Winchester, Kentucky; two great great nieces, Jessica Elble (Ryan) of Taylorsville and Colby Wilmoth of Shelbyville; and three great great great little ones whom she adored, Ella Kate Elble, Winston Elble and Wyatt Elble.

She is preceded in death by a foster sister, Jean Hall; two sisters, Irene Anderson and Velma Quisenberry; one niece, Ellen “Suge” Wills; and one nephew, Robert Quisenberry.

Services will be at 1:00PM Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Scobee Funeral Home by Dr. Ed Mesta. Burial will take place in the Winchester Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jesse Wilmoth, Tim Smith, Fred Pace, Donnie Wilson, Russell Wilson, Henry Branham and Barry Henderson.

Visitation will be from 12:00PM-1:00PM, Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Scobee Funeral Home.
