First UMC hosting crucifixion play

The community is invited to attend The Crucifixion, a reenactment of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ on Friday, March 30 at dusk (around 8 p.m). This is an annual event hosted by the youth of First United Methodist Church. Holy Communion is served in the sanctuary following the conclusion of the scene.

“This is a powerful, visual reminder of Jesus’ ultimate act of love and sacrifice,” First UMC youth pastor Robbie Shrout said. “We invite everyone to come and witness the Father’s love for us and Jesus’ triumph over sin, the Good News that is for everyone regardless of your background, your past or your current situation.”
