Leroy Meyer Petersen, 93, widower of Marilyn Maassen Petersen, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019.

He was born 8/29/1926 in Audubon, Co., Iowa to Albert and Ida Meyer Petersen. He was a farmer, a member of Calvary Christian Church where he served as deacon and elder, Men’s Prayer Group, and Calvary Care Small Groups, and a member of Clark Co. Fish & Game Club.

He was a beloved father and is survived by two sons, Paul Albert (Kelly) Petersen and Daniel Lee Peterson; a daughter, Pamela Petersen (Ronald) Hicks, Killeen, Tx.; four granddaughters, Laura Petersen, Cassie Hicks, Tessa Plowman, and Marissa Townsend; two grandsons, Tyler Morgan Benard and Seth McKinney; daughter-in-law, Christy Peterson and he is preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

Services will be held Friday at 1:00 pm at Calvary Christian Church, with visitation from 11:00 am till the hour of service. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday in Harlan, Iowa.
