COLG hosting Mended women’s conference

Church of the Living God will be hosting its 2019 Women’s Conference, “MENDED,” Saturday, May 18. The theme for this day comes from Jeremiah 17:14, which says, “God, pick up the pieces. Put me back together again.”

This conference is for women from the region to come together for a time of fellowship and refreshing. The conference will feature word, worship, laughter and likely a few tears. Participants will dig deep into their lives to bring out those things they need God to heal.

Judy Thomas, COLG women’s ministry director, will speak in the morning session, and well-known speaker and minister Melissa Patillo will lead the afternoon session.

“God is a Father and He is the ‘Master Mender’” according to a press release from the church. “Each of us has a different story, and we all come from different backgrounds, yet all of us have areas in our lives that are broken and need mending. Things like past hurts, experiences and relationships can leave wounds that become covered-up in time and we never allow God to fully work His intended healing for us. His desire is that we live an abundant life, a life of peace which only He can bring. God wants to fully and completely mend the women of this region and empower us to be a light to our families, friends, coworkers and more.”

The cost to attend the conference is $15, which includes lunch. Doors will open at 9 a.m. for coffee, pastries and fellowship. The conference will begin at 10 a.m. and is scheduled to conclude by 4 p.m. To register, text @mendedcolg to 81010, or visit the conference registration website at bit.ly/2H51ZQi. The registration deadline is Sunday, May 12, and tickets will not be available at the door.

“We believe this conference is God-ordained and will be a life-changing event,” the press release states. “We welcome women of all ages, and from all backgrounds, to come and experience what God has in store for them. We anticipate a day of true and complete mending for all.”
