Public Works Committee to Receive Update on Town Branch
Based on feedback from our readers seeking to know more about what’s going on in local governance, Winchester Sun has decided to start posting agendas from various governing boards.
For example, there will be a regular meeting of the Public Works Committee at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, April 4 in the Training Room, 2nd Floor, City Hall, 32 Wall Street.
Among the many items on the agenda include updates about Town Branch and Columbia Gas installation/replacement of lines.
Per Town Branch, there will be an update about plans to mitigate some of the drainage issues that occur downtown during rainy weather events.
As for Columbia Gas, the company is undertaking a massive project to replace/install gas lines between Cherry Maple expressway and Veterans Memorial Parkway.
As the Sun receives information and agendas from governing boards be it from Fiscal Court, Planning Commission, Board of Adjustment and many more, we will post these agendas, stories and more on our website at winchestersun.com and within the print edition as space allows.
