4 injured, unborn child killed in crash Friday morning

A Friday crash on Rockwell Road injured four people and claimed an unborn child.

According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened shortly after 9 a.m.

Deputies reported Desmond Davis was traveling west in a Dodge Durango when he lost control and spun on a wet road. His vehicle was then struck in the right side by an oncoming Ford F-150, driven by Cassie Arreguin, also of Winchester.

Clark County Sheriff Berl Perdue Jr. said Arreguin was about six months pregnant, and lost her unborn child following the crash.

The road conditions appeared to be the main contributing factor in the crash, he said.

All four people in the vehicles were transported to area hospitals, with Davis and Arreguin’s passenger, Jason Arreguin, going to Clark Regional Medical Center and Cassie Arreguin and Davis’ passenger, Autumn Hufnagle, going to the University of Kentucky Medical Center for treatment.
